The Miracle Ahead

Scripture

Romans 8:11 NLT

11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

Main Idea

The resurrection isn't just a past event, it's a present reality. It’s not just something where we celebrate what Jesus did, we also recognize what it means. That God says this same miracle resurrection power can be at work in your life. But as great as it is to know that there are miracles we can experience now, Easter reminds us that there is an even greater miracle ahead.

Jesus offers more than just a better now, He offers us a better place.

Discussion Questions

  1. How has living for Christ led to miracles in your life?
  2. We are rewarded for following and putting our faith in Christ. What does a life living for Christ mean to you?
  3. Heaven is our eternal reward. How do you imagine Heaven?
  4. Easter is always a great time to evaluate your faith journey. What do you hope to accomplish in your walk with God before next Easter?

Summary

If you place your faith in Christ, there is a miracle ahead. It is infinitely better than what you can imagine. In Luke 10:17-20, the disciples celebrated the miracles that they performed. Jesus celebrated with them. Jesus also told them to "rejoice that your names are written in Heaven." We experience miracles in our daily lives. But there is a greater miracle waiting for us in eternity. Jesus tells us in John 14:1-2 that He is preparing a place for us with God. And if we put our faith in Him we can look forward to the greatest miracle ahead.
