1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Worship happens whenever we ascribe worth or value to something. That means all of us worship something, even if it's not God. As Christians our worship should be a heartfelt response to God's love, not just an obligation. So what does it look like? It involves our time, talent and treasure. It's not just what happens on Sunday in a church service, but worship should permeate every part of who we are.
Internal fulfillment comes from worship, not from extrinsic factors. There will be moments in life when our feelings will make us discouraged, hopeless, or defeated. But God is transforming us by His grace and power. Rather than respond to the feelings in our life, we can express worship to God.
