We can all feel the burdens that come through life, and there can be hard times when we question whether we'll ever make it to the other side. Or, maybe we even wonder if God has a plan for our lives at all. Can we tell you that, if that's the season you're in right now, you're not alone, and there is hope? We're so honored to be able to share a story from someone in our church who experienced amazing life change through Jesus and the community they could depend on:
When my family started coming to Velocity, it was mainly to make sure my kids had a church to grow up in. I grew up in the church and knew how important that foundation was, and I wanted the same for my kids. My husband and I slowly got plugged in as well, and started serving on teams and joined Groups. Things were good and steady. Then, my husband and I went through a very hard season in our marriage. We suddenly had struggles we didn’t know how to deal with, topics that made us question our faith, issues that threatened to destroy our family. But the pastors at Velocity came alongside us, encouraging us through that hard time, answering our faith questions, continuing to build us up despite our bad choices and doubts about God’s Word. On top of that, we had a new network of friends that showed up for us and gave us support and connection at a time when we felt very isolated and alone. The love and grace that we received through Velocity has not only kept my husband and I together, but has caused me to take my faith to a whole new level, learning more about who God really is and the relationship He desires to have with us. What started out as a desire to have my kids in church has now led me to know God in a way I never did before. I have a new understanding of what it means to walk with God. I know how God can be truly good. And I now see a new purpose for my life that I didn’t have before. Velocity pointed me to Jesus in a way that has saved my life, and I will forever be grateful for that.
God is not done with your story -- in fact, He's just getting started! And he's going to do amazing things in your life that you can't even imagine. We hope this story encourages you and reminds you of the miracles that God can work in all our lives.
